Don't be fooled by that simplicity (and the remarkably low price) into thinking it's one of those dime-a-dozen defraggers.... because it's NOT! In fact.... DefragExpress is a real clever defragger.

DefragExpress is a program that actually defragments your hard drive. Developers say that its unique algorithm is developed to make the result more efficient and less time-consuming. As we know, hard disk defragmentation will increase disk performance: free and used space becomes more organized, and the overall system performance is increased.
Let’s look at the interface. The interface is user friendly and intuitive. There are actually two buttons that spin things up. First of all, I selected the hard drive from the table. Then pressed the “analyze” button. It took about 15 sec per hard drive to analyze the optimization level of the disk. When I tried to defragment my first 20 Gb system drive, I got a message that there were too many errors, and my optimization level was 28.32, which was obviously a bad result. The defragmentation did not complete properly. I made a second attempt on my second 200 Gb hard drive. It took about 30 minutes to advance to 96% progress, when the program stopped showing any signs of activity. After changing the defragmentation mode (Fast mode instead of Thorough mode) my 20 Gb hard drive level increased by 11 points in 4 minutes.
DefragExpess cannot fragment poorly optimized drives and may be used only to keep the optimization level. For poorly optimized drives, it is better to use a different program. |
